WE, FROM DEPARTMENT OF PROSTHODONTICS , NAVODAYA DENTAL COLLEGE , ORGANISED AN INTERNATIONAL WEBINAR TITLED ON “OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES FOR DENTAL PROFESSIONALS – OVERSEAS” IN ASSOCIATION WITH DENTART TRAINING ACADEMY , CANADA AND IPS KARANATAKA BRANCH ON 21 ST JAN 2021, ON THE EVE OF INDIAN PROSTHODONTIST DAY.
THE WEBINAR WAS BROADCASTED ON ZOOM PLATFORM AND RESOURCE PERSONS FOR THE PROGRAMME WERE DR. ASHWATH KULKARNI , DR. ANIL KUMAR MG AND DR. M. K. PILLAI .THE WEBINAR WAS ATTENDED BY 168 PARTICIPANTS , BELONGING TO NAVODAYA DENTAL COLLEGE AND AME DENTAL COLLEGE ( INCLUDING INTERNS, PG STUDENTS OF ALL THE BRANCHES AND STAFFS OF BOTH THE COLLEGES). THE WEBINAR DETAILS WERE ALSO HOSTED ON KSDC WEBSITE , BEEN ALLOTTED 3 CDE – POINTS.
THE WEBINAR WAS ALSO ORGANISED IN OFFLINE MODE , IN DIGITAL LIBRARY, FOR THE EASE OF INTERACTION AND VISIBILITY FOR THE PARTICIPANTS. THE PROGRAMME WAS INAUGURATED BY THE REGISTRAR OF NAVODAYA EDUCATIONAL TRUST ,& PRINCIPAL OF NAVODAYA DENTAL COLLEGE ALSO HAD GIVEN INSIGHTS ABOUT THE SESSION , FOLLOWED BY THE BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF THE SPEAKERS DELIVERED BY DR. PRAKASH NIDAWANI (EVENT- COORDINATOR &PROF). THE PROGRAMME WAS CONCLUDED BY VOTE OF THANKS , GIVEN BY DR. GIRISH GALAGALI (HOD ). THE PROGRAME WAS MODERATED BY DR. SAUMYA ( 1ST YEAR PG) .
THE SESSION WAS QUITE INFORMATIVE AS PER THE FEEDBACK GIVEN BY THE PARTICIPANTS.
THE PARTICIPANTS WERE ALLOTED E- CERTIFICATE TO THEIR RESPECTIVE REGISTERED E- MAIL ID AFTER THE COMPLETION AND SUBMISSION OF THE FEEDBACK FORM.

Our Director.
Dr. Amarpreet Mangat , B.D.S
Mrs Amarpreet Mangat, BDS ( Bachelor of Dental Surgery) Corporate Manager and Treatment Coordinator. Amarpreet graduated in the year 2000 from Kuvempu University, India and since then was in Clinical Dental Practice until 2012 when she moved to Canada with her family. With her educational background and the clinical experience, she brings a lot when it comes to treatment coordination with the patients at Viceroy Dental by motivating the patients about the importance of Oral Health and their treatment needs. In the administrative role, she oversees the day to day functioning of the office and is also involved with Dent Art Training Academy in Delta, BC. Mrs Amarpreet involves herself with various community activities and volunteering. During her free time, she likes to watch classical movies, and spend time with her 2 kids and family members.

Dr. Anilkumar Madivalar Gopi
Our Instructor for this course
Dr. Anilkumar Madivalar Gopi graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the Kuvempu University, Karnataka India in the year 1998. He then worked as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at the same University until 2006 when he moved on to full time private clinical practice. He completed the Nobel Fellow program in Oral Implantology and Aesthetic Dentistry conducted at Bangalore from 2008 to 2009.
Dr. M.K. Pillai
DR. KANDHAPPAN.M. PILLAI graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Consistently been a topper. Later attempted for all India Post Graduate Entrance Exam and ranked 32nd in very first attempt and ranked 18th in Karnataka State Post-Graduate Entrance Exam. He then completed his Master’s in Dental Surgery and ranked 1st as University topper in oral surgery.
Dr. Mandeep Kaur
Dr. Mandeep Kaur currently practices as a general dentist in British Columbia. A postgraduate in endodontics and conservative dentistry, she has extensive experience in the academic side of dentistry. She has more than four years of experience as a senior lecturer for graduate as well as postgraduate students. She passionately follows current advancements in dentistry and herself has contributed to various international and pubmed journals, published numerous articles and authored research papers. Since her own certification through NDEB, she understands both technical as well as psychological challenges aspirants face and is determined to help everyone in all the ways possible. She completed the NDEB Equivalency Licensing process in the year 2019 and is a part of active practice in Abbotsford, BC, Canada.
Dr. Shruti Sood
Dr. Shruti Sood graduated with Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Kurukshetra University (KUK) in 2011. She practiced Dentistry in India for 4 years before she moved to Canada with her family. After completing her NDEB equivalency exams she is currently practicing as a General Dentist in British Columbia as well guiding the NDEB aspirants in AFK & ACS exam preparation at DENTART Training Academy.She completed the NDEB Equivalency Licensing process in the year 2019 and practices general dentistry in BC,Canada.
Dr. Ashvath Vinayak Kulkarni
