EVENT REPORT

International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons’ Day was celebrated on Febrauary 13th 2024 at Navodaya Dental College And Hospital, Raichur collectively organized by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and management of college. CDE program “Beyond the Scalpel: The Dynamic Spectrum of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery” was conducted.

The occasion started by a welcome speech by Dr. Chitra Chakravarthy, Prof. and Head of the Department, who emphasized on the scope of specialty and pivotal roles played by oral surgeons’. This was followed by lecture by the guest speaker Dr. Sukhvinder Bindra on the topic ‘Beyond the Scalpel : The Dynamic Spectrum of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery’.

Lecture on “From Broken Bones to Beautiful Smiles” was delivered by Dr. Chitra Chakravarthy and Dr. Santosh Kumar followed by skit on road safety and spectrum of OMFS by interns, UG and PG students of Navodaya Dental College and Hospital.

The active participation by the students for ‘Open-Mic’ competition, ‘Real to Reel’ competition and ‘Treasure Hunt’ was commendable.

The event was graced by Dr.T.Srinivas, Registar, Navodaya Education Trust, Dr.Girish Katti, Principal, Navodaya Dental College and Hospital, Dr.Devanand, Principal, Navodaya Dental College and Hospital, Dr. Arun Naik, Medical Superintendent, Navodaya Dental College and Hospital and all the faculties and students from Navodaya Dental College and Hospital
