The programme commenced by 10 am, wherein it began with an introductory speech by the Post graduation students from the department of Periodontology, who spoke briefly on Navodaya Education Trust and Navodaya Dental College and the significance of celebrating oral hygiene day.

The dignitaries were presented with a flower pot as a sign of respect and honour. The gathering was welcomed by Dr. Sindhura, reader in the department of Periodontology. The gathering was addressed by our honourable registrar, Dr. T Srinivas; followed by our Principal, Dr. Girish Katti and final addressing of the gathering was done by Dr. Asif K, HOD and Professor in the department of Periodontology.

The scientific presentations on oral health was started by undergraduate and postgraduate students in the form of  e-posters ,which were being scored.

We then concluded by announcing the winners, presenting them with certificates and prizes.

A vote of thanks was given by Dr. Swapna, Senior lecturer, department of Periodontology, which was followed by the national anthem.
