On the occasion of International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons’ Day, Navodaya Dental College and Hospital, Raichur, conducted a rally and oral cancer screening camp on 13th February 2025. The rally, which took place from 9:40 am to 11:00 am, began at the Raichur Railway Station and concluded at the KKRTC Bus Stop. Subsequently, an oral cancer screening camp was conducted at the KKRTC Bus Stop, Raichur, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, where oral cancer awareness was created by slogans, street play and pamphlet among the public. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including T. Srinivas (Registrar), Dr. Girish Katti (Principal, NDC), Dr. Chitra Chakravarthy (Professor and Head), Dr. Santosh Kumar S.M (Professor), Dr. Zaheer (NSS Committee Member), OMFS PGs and undergraduate students.
In addition to this also a Oral Cancer screening camp was conducted on 12th February 2025 at a near by village Yeragera, Raichur district. Around 200 patients were screened and examined clinically.
