The webinar on Tabacco cessation in healthcare for Nursing students was conducted at AV hall, Central Library,NET, by Dept. of Public Health Dentistry and NSS unit on 4th June 2024. The guest speaker forthe day wasDr.DharmashreeSProf and Head of the department, Dept. of Public Health dentistry, Institution of Dental Sciences,Bhubaneshwar,Odisha.Dr.SureshBabu , HOD Dept of Public Health Dentistry gave the welcome speech. Chief guest Dr.GirishKatti,Principal, Navodaya Dental College gave the brief introduction to nursing students about what and how the health care worker will help to control the tobacco use.Introduction about the speaker was given byDr.SomanathReddy Reader. Pledge for all Nursing students was given by Dr.Zaheer Ahmed and finally Votes of thanks was given by Dr.Nasi Ismail . The guest speaker Dr.Dharmashree Stalked about the various forms of tobacco, Statistics of tobacco usage and elaborated various methods to quit Tobacco habit and treatment protocols. The target group was nursing students from Navodaya School and College of Nursing and Interns of Navodaya Dental College.In this program around 210 participants registered online. All the registered participants were provided with an online certificate with CDE credit point of 2.
