On the view of World no Tobacco day, the Department of Public health dentisty conducted oral cancer awareness programme for all the non-teaching staffs of Navodaya Education Trust.The program was organized at Navodaya Dental college reception. The program started at 10 am after the inauguration.Around 50 non-teaching staff members were present.The Chief Guest for the event was Dr.Girish Katti Principal, Navodaya Dental College.The audience were welcomed by Dr.Somanath Reddy,A brief  description about tobacco usage and  its adverse effect was given by Dr.Suresh Babu AM, HOD Department  Public Health Dentistry in Kannada language, and Principal Dr.Girish Katti gave explanation about effect of Tobacco to the audience.Followed by oral cancer screening was done for all non-teaching staffs from various departments in  Navodaya Medical College, Navodaya Dental College,Navodaya School and college of Nursing,Navodaya Pharmacy College,Navodaya B.e.d college ,Navodaya college of Para medical Courses and NET library.

.  Pledge for all non-teaching staff was given by Dr.SureshBabu A M followed by oral cancer screening was done to all. Around 50 non-teaching staff benefited from this program
