EVENT REPORT

A CDE program on “PCOD – AN OVERVIEW” was conducted on 20-06-2024 in AV Hall, Digital Library, NET Campus. The program was organized by “NAVOSTHRI” Women’s Cell, Navodaya Dental College and Hospital with the active participation of Dr Chandrika G Katti, Chairperson, Women Cell, NDC & Dr Sindhura H, Secretary, Women Cell, NDC along with all the enthusiastic members of Women’s cell,

The theme “Inspire inclusion” states, as we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better world and when women’s  themselves are inspired to be included, there’s  a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment collectively, lets forge  a more inclusion world for women.

The event started with the registration at 9.00am, followed by a very enlightening Guest Lecture by Dr Nisha Kanchan, MS, Gynaecology on a very common women’s health issue of PCOD. PCOD is a condition of hormonal imbalance affecting the younger age group causing infertility in women encountered more in this era. We had houseful audience of 120 with students, staff members and HOD’s.  The program was inaugurated by our Chief Guest, Dr. T Srinivas, Registrar, NET and the Guest of Honour, Dr Girish Katti, Principal, NDC, with the inspiration and guidance of Shri. S. R Reddy Sir, Hon’ Chairman, NET, Raichur.

Students of NDC performed few acts to depict the “women empowerment” with the theme “Inspire inclusion” . The Act included:

1. “Wheels of women’s life” by Dr Nethra and Dr Elizabeth P- Interns

2. “The rise” by Trisha and Likitha – Third Year BDS students and

3.  A short video on “Inspire inclusion”
